As for Little Rita Carol, although this one made it to Billboard's July 15, 1955 issue, she seems to have also had a . . .  something, called He Wasn't Just an Ordinary Panhandler back in 1953  - b-side, The Cowboy With the Lasso. The mini review there says she was a kid, part of a singing sister duo.
